Conor Bangham

My own experience of counselling started when I was in my 20’s and it was a most rewarding and fulfilling experience. My counsellor provided a space to encourage me to explore some core issues that were creating an imbalance in certain parts of my life. With their assistance, I was able to navigate a clearer path, find that balance within and move forward with an acceptance that eluded me previously. The experience of being a client myself has allowed me to have a respect for the importance of a tailored and unique experience for each individual.

I have worked with a diverse number of clients in my role as an equestrian coach for the past 15+ years, and as a youth worker in the Scottish Borders for 2 years. Each of those experiences highlighted the value of diversity we all can offer and utilise to improve our life experience. Quiet Waves Counselling is a LGBTQ+ friendly space.

Some of the presenting issues I have worked with as a counsellor include

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Grief / Bereavement / Loss

  • Health diagnoses

  • Addiction Tendencies

  • Relationship problems
